After your initial phone call to our office, a new-patient Coordinator will make an appointment for you to see one of our doctors for an evaluation. Also, we will discuss the initial cost of the visit. What to expect at your first visit? Digital Photographs A series of digital photos of your teeth will be taken using cheek retractors and mirrors. Dental Radiograph (X-Ray) This diagnostic film is needed for the doctors to assess the overall health of your teeth. It will help in diagnosing any missing or impacted teeth, potential trouble areas (like wisdom teeth or bone loss), along with the relative amount of growth remaining for that individual and severity of the problem. The X-ray’s that we take use a digital format in order to reduce the amount of radiation exposure. Consultation You will then be taken to our Consultation Room where the orthodontic exam will take place. The orthodontist will review your x-ray, the digital photos and do an oral exam. From there, we will work out a schedule for when you want to begin treatment. Such easy, simple steps for a better smile and peace of mind. It’s worth it!
